Currently I am contracting and my contract will be ending soon. I am rather concerned about the state of the contracting market. From what I have been told is that there are jobs out there but that now a lot of people are applying for those jobs. So I got to thinking, what about if I organise a get together or a tweetup for people who are looking for jobs and recruitment agents. It will be nothing formal, just a get to know you type event, probably in a pub. People can bring there business cards and there CVs and hopefully a bit of networking can be done.
I would like to see if I could make this a regular event, may be every two months or so. I am hoping that it can be built into some fairly good, will have to wait and see what the reaction will be.
